Rabbits and kids: the whole poop

Rabbits and kids: the whole poop

Rabbits and kids? Are you thinking of adopting a rabbit as a child’s pet? This requires some serious consideration. Animal shelters are always filled with a constant population of pet bunnies bought for children. It is often assumed that a rabbit is a good “starter pet” for a child, because they are “easy to take care of.” In the past, many people would get rabbits, put them in a hutch in the backyard, and leave them there to wither away through seasons of heat and cold until they died prematurely. Today, rabbits are rightly considered to be house pets who require as much care and attention, if not more, than a dog or cat.
