excuse me. your post appeared to be by someone who had never neutered or spayed before and i was explaining it. had you said you had been doing rescue i would not have even posted.
sometimes you just can't win.
i'll go back to the hamster board where i won't have any vast experience of delivering litters and saving 127 cats.

Stop and count to ten...one...two...three...(okay, maybe stop and type to ten? Takes longer )
I don't think Navy ment any harm...but she is well known here for doing rescue work in Italy. She wasn't asking why they were cranky...she knows why Just mentioning that they were.
Kim, poor babies Kali acted strange after her spay as well...she was anemic though and fairly lethargic. But for her, it seemed we rescued her from the vet and all she wanted was to be ON her Mommy (me) Come to think about it, she acted a lot like she did when she was pregnant. Very Needy...(almost too needy!)
As for the kitties, well, you know what to do Spoil them rotten and they'll come around.

Thanks for better explaining things Mandie
Well yes the babies are back to normal and back to investigating the hammies and Chinnies Pickles loves to sit and stair at the chinnies and hammies as does Bubbles
As for my post appearing like I have had no experience, sorry you thought that, as it didn't seem that way to me

Hehehe, Kim!
Galina was soooo sweet when she had the E-collar on (that was her ploy to get you to take it off), but as soon as you took it off, she wanted to rip you to shreds!
Gerona was like Tator--back to her old self the day after. Didn't give a hoot about any of it. Probably because she had a strong painkiller and perhaps was on some kind of high.
It's amazing how each animal's response is different.

Thanks Steph
Rowan I agree it is amazing how each animal responds differently....Well both Pickles and Bubbles are definitely back to normal and we have had no problems with either of them trying to get to their stitches, so we just let them be and keep an eye on them at the same time. Pickles is back to climbing the walls (literally) and Bubbles is back to "I want attention now" so I'm going to stick my butt up your nose and you'll give me the attention whether you want to or not
