Adequan?

Does anyone have any experience with using Adequan in cats? My cat Sisko has osteoarthritis in his left shoulder, and we're supplementing his diet with Cosequin. Our vet has also talked to us about possibly using Adequan to help him. I haven't made a hard and fast decision on this. Doc says he uses it on his own cat and it makes a world of difference, but it off label use - it's primarily used in horses. I am just wondering if any of you have any experience...
