Cooking with cats is hard. I remember I once narrowly avoided Meeko burning himself. I opened the oven and turned around to put something down and Meeko decided to investigate the open oven. He was JUST about to STEP ONTO THE UBER HOT OVEN DOOR when I turned back. I just about freaked. I grabbed his fuzzy butt and hauled him away. Can you imagine what could have happened? Burnt paw pads. Eek!

Sounds like my Varuca but I need to add that when you do something and need to open a cabinet or a drawer check about a half an hour later for a screaming cat stuck inside.

Doodles likes climbing into things too. We always have to check before we close closets and the fridge to see if she's inside.
Otherwise we hear meowing and never know where it's coming from.
