Brother Misses Sister

We have 2 tabbies, brother and sister. We recently lost the girl due to a coyote. We found the boy in a tree he was terrified. They were litter mates. How can I help Clyde with his loss and traumatic experience he has been through, he keeps searching for her.

awww poor little guy! he must have been real scared. do you have any other cats he can bond to? or consider getting another cat? you could just pay a ton more attention to him, lots of cuddles and treats

Thank-you. We are considering getting another kitty, but just not quite sure. He had such a connection with his sister, they would lay for hours and groom each other in there sleep. Should I get a little kitten around 8 weeks old, or one more his age around 4-5 months old? Or just not at all and he would be the sole cat with our small dog, they tolerate each other. Ohh the way these animals tug at your heart.

I would try getting a 8 week old kitty. He Might not tolerate a cat his own age but he will most likely tolerate a kitten long enough to bond with him and become friends. Sorry for your loss. Hope your other kitty recovers. Kepp updated!!!

We are looking for a new kitty for Clyde. I thought also it would be a good idea to get a young kitten, for him to bond with. We are in the process of that right now. We will let you know what happens. Thank-you all for the advice.

I think we found a mate for Clyde. We are meeting our new addition on the 27th of this month. I hope everything goes smooth. We are very excited.

You could try keeping them indoors to protect them from coyotes so you don't lose anymore. Coyotes take cats and dogs from the fenced backyards around here, your little guy was lucky the tree was nearby.
