Calico or not?

I have 2 beautiful kittens (about 9 mos) that are tri-colored of black white and grey. I have been told by several people that they are considered to be calico. I always thought that calico was black white and orange.

I am wondering because they are both MALE! I have been reading on different sites and learned that if they are indeed "calico" they are probable sterile (which is actually ok since I have 15 cats already!)

If anyone could answer my question, I would really appreciate it.

It is extremely rare to have a male calico, let alone 2 of them. I'm guessing, since there is no orange in their coats and the fact that they are both male, that they are not calicos.

Red face

Thank you, I didnt really think so either. But you know you get the people that "know all". So I figured I would put the question out there and satisfy my curiosity.

Thats what I was gonna say too. If it is a male then it is most likely not a calico as they are almost always female.

I would like to attach a picture of their mother, so you could judge if SHE is a calico, could you tell me how to attach pictures to the reply?

You have to go to a photohosting site like photobucket, imageshack or dropshots... upload the pic to that then link the url.

I like and use
