Dyed Cats! Warning, a lot of pics!

I got this email the other day from someone I didn't know and for some reason I decided to open it and I say tons of pictures of cats. But not ordinary colored cats.....colorful ones!

I have never seen anything like this before, have any of you?

In the email it said that the cats are put to sleep while they dye their fur. The paint jobs cost $15,000 and have to be repeated every 3 months as the cat's hair grows out.

What is your opinion on this?

Although I do find some of them a little cool looking, I find it extreamly stupid and unnecessary. Cats are beautiful just the way they are, there is no need to color them differently.

They're neat but I wouldn't do it to my cats and actually although a couple are clearly photochopped as I put it...some ARE real. I've talked to people who do it before.

Those pictures are NOT REAL. They are from a coffee table book called Why Paint Cats. The book is just a joke, it also talks about how they digitally "painted" these cats.

Read the link I posted before.

thats what i thought too...i think its a dumb idea to make a book like that in a way cuz it might give some people stupid ideas to do this to their cats or other animals. Im sure some have already done so...i just hope their pets didnt get sick or worse.
It looks cool but just a bad idea..the book ...and anyone trying to actually do it. My opinion.

I agree they look very Photoshopped...also for people that do dye their cats hair, I would think that its unsafe and inhumane. (For the cat of course...)

hehe how cute! but yea most of them look fake.. i think it would kinda be neat.. i mean people do dye there dogs sometimes.. if it could be done saftely maybe with some sort of edible ink in marker form.. i used to have a cat (rip jack) that liked when i pretended to draw on him with a pen (used a clickie pen with the tip in) and he would pur soo loud! heh i think it would be a neat idea, and something both pet and owner could enjoy.. maybe make them tuna flavored or something heh.. how fun..

I agree that some of them look photoshopped, but not all of them. I think that some people would pay $15,000 for something as stupid as coloring their cat. Come on actresses pay like $5000 for just a purse. They have so much money and they run out of things to buy, they need something to spend it on. LOL
