goopy eye

If you remember mr. Jim Noodles had an eye infection when I first got him. Well it cleared up with some triple antibiotic ointment. Then it showed up in his right eye. It cleared up. Well now it is going back and forth between eyes. I can barely afford to take myself to doc due to the fact that I was just diagnosed with fibromyalgia not too long ago. So my funds are running a bit thin lately. Does anyone have any idea on how I might possibly be able to cure his eye ailment with out breaking the bank? I am open to any suggestions.

I heard of Lysine being used in cats with chronic eye infections. If you scroll down on the page of the link I provided, a DVM recommends it.

IT WORKED!Thank you for the info. We had tried amox., eye iontment, saline solution.... Lysine is the only thing that has worked long term. My husband uses lysine for fever blisters. It dries them right up. I didnt know you could use it for the eyes, never less a cat. You learn something new everyday. Thanx once again.
