Hairballs: Messy, Harmless and Preventable

Hairballs can be a mess and an annoying problem for cat owners. Although hairballs are rather unpleasant, they do not usually mean that the cat is ill, and owners can take steps to reduce or eliminate them.

Thanks Christy. Peep gets hairballs sometimes, we bought Hairball treats and the little jerk snubs them, he knows there might be something good for him in them!

Thanks Christi - that is really good information. My kitties don't seem to hack them up often, but when they do... ack.

I try to give them Fe-malt, or something similar - a hairball remedy - as regularly as I can. I've experimented with a few brands and I've found a couple that they like so much they will lick right off the tube.

I haven't tried the hairball treats yet! I wonder if mine would be as picky as Peep and snub them
