How can I put some weight on my kitty?

I feed my kitty everyday twice aday. But she is still skinny? She's around 9 months old. Could it be she is just young? I got her spayed about 3 months ago. I thought after most cats get spayed that they gain weight. Could someone give me some suggestions?

my kittens were skinny even though i was feeding them wet food twice a day until i started leaving out dry food all the time and they've put weight on since then. i'm not sure if that will help you, but it helped my boys
