I LOVE my vet

I brought Button to the vet to day to get de wormed since we she got sick yesterday and i seen she had worms. We were talking to the vet and he was like i could charge you $56 for the office visit then the cost of the deworming but i am not going to do that. I am going to give her her vaccines which is $66 and includes the office visit fee and then give u the flea treatment and the deworming and it should come to about $88. that was alot cheaper then were were expecting since we knew the visit fee was about $60 then there was the deworming and everything else we figured it would be about $150. In talking to our vet, he informed us that he would rather be honest and try to save his patients money so that way they will come back to him. In the last month he has lost 5 patients but has gotten over 300 new ones so the ratio looks good for him. We are willing to drive the half hr to see the vet if it means we are going to be saving money in the long run. This is the second time he has told us how he was going to save us money, we tell all our friends and family about his office since we get treated as people not walking wallets. he makes sure our cats are happy and comofortable rather then just doing what needs to be done.

While I don't have a cat (allergic)... I have to say I love my vet too ... recently we had one of our dogs in there 2 times in a one month period ... he didn't charge us at all for either visit.

When you can find a vet that you trust your fur babies with who is in it for the animals and not for the $$ it is well worth the extra drive ... I drive about 15 minutes to go to my vet when there is a vet less than a mile (about 2km) from my house (there are about 25 to choose from within a 30 minute drive from my house)

Congrats on finding a vet that you love !!!!!

i would say in a 10 block radius i have about 5 vets round me yet i am willing to leave the city and go to a small town to bring my babies to the vet. the only reason we brought one there was becuase of convenince. i got up early with my fiancee one day to bring Tigger to his folks so we could bring her to the vet close by since i wasn't about to walk her to a vet in the cool and didn't have the bank card that had the money. So his dad brought both me and Tigger to the vet close to his home and he was going to cover the bill for us. For what the vet thought ws going to be needed he quoated us $250 in the end it was only $150 so we were really happy. Since then we have been bringing the monsters there and they seem to trust him witch helps me feel better since i know that they don't like getting the needles and what not.
