I am looking to rehome this kitty. She is a 6.5 year old cat, spayed. She's grumpy but can be loving at times. She would need to be indoors or indoor/outdoor (at a place with some land or in a quiet neighborhood). No dogs, please. She has been in the same room with my other cat, Charlie, before for a short time (by accident) and we found them just sitting still and looking at each other. But she really needs to be without other animals.

Please help if you can. We are just at a loss.

Did you ever try anything like Feliway or anything like that? It's supposed to calm stressed out kitties and stop the behaviors caused by stress. I don't know if it works or not, but may be worth a try before giving your cat away to someone else.

We tried putting her on kitty prozac, and it helped a little (with the obsessive licking). But we just don't think it's fair to keep a cat locked in one room 24/7 (even with a small outside area).

But my Nan may get a job sooner than she thought, so we're gonna wait just a bit for that.

If you do decide to rehome her, I may know some petless people in the area willing to take her in. I'm not positive, but I'll keep checking in on this topic just in case.
