jealous kitty or oddball kitty..help?

Hi i have 2 house rabbits..one a medium sized bunny girl and one huge french lop white were rabbit! In october i took on 2 little flea infested wormy kittys and and ive got them treated vaccinated etc and settled in.
The little girl is in awe of bertie the were rabbit and used to adore Biffkykins the doe..but al of the sudden things have changed..she now chases bifs bottom end to get her away..put of the lounge if possible..her brother slame just sees bif as another cat..in fact she litter trained him!! But he likes to play too rough now hes bigger. bertie is the object of salems affection..mainly because Bif got sick and shunned him completely and went for him even when he didnt deserve it. Now hes over attached to bertie. he butts round him all over purring furiously and dribbling at every open opportunity and tugs and pulls out the loose fur on erties love handles..He can playfully nibble fberties ear which bertie has him for but salem ends up sucking it and trying to doe tread bertie..hes even been known to go nipplel hunting.my friend says thats why he has always stuck his head under the buns tummies like he does.
Well bif is snuggled up to bertie and when salem tries to join in she attacks him andbertie tells her off and tries to settle down with them both..excpet shes miffed . But last few days salems been very naughty and i dont know what to do..he climbs on top of bertie and pushes bif out of the way so he can snuggle up to bertie where she was and she has to go ont he other side.
Is it jelaousy he wants her out the way..or is it because he feels os warm snuggled up to a pre warmed bertie?
its not cold here..and when it does get chilly we put the radiators on so i really dotn get it..salem has shunned human laps for bertie hugs and seems os jelaous of Bif..
is it because he knows shes ill..same for zuzu chasing her when she is the one who cuddles her while they snooze togehter under the coffee table.
i need someone not attached to my pets to give me their opinion and any tips!!
btw the kitties wreck the christmas tree but zuz specially got down a large bauble made of plastic and gave it to bif who in turn loved playing with it...i saw this for myself..go figure!

GeishaGirl will become famous soon enough
I really think he is just preferring one bun over the other, favoritism maybe. I say just give them time, like my cats with my bun, they did not like her right away and my new kitten Asia thought it was okay to play rough, so I just told Asia a firm no and took her out of the room. Well I have not done it since as she just sleeps with her like always. I really don't have any tips other than wait and see. And with the tree, cats just love to knock things off and play. Just make sure plastic ornaments are in a cats reach, and any glass ones out of kitty's reach.

Purplebumble, I missed your post before.
It sounds like you have a interesting situation going on in your house. My kitties interact with the bunnies but not like that. The kitties only snuggle with the kitties and the bunnies with the bunnies. I think it maybe be because the kitties are much older now and have seen many of furry creatures come in and out of their lives. Maybe once Biff is all better things will calm down. It does sound very sweet that Salem is so in love with Bertie. I would love an update on this soap opera!

thank you both for your input..and yes all tree ornaments are plastic..im epileptic n get blackouts..can you imagine me with glass baubles!
geishagirl i think its favouritism alright!!

kathy..ill pm you in a mo

our old kitties never even snuggled with each other once kitty stage had gone! kibbles was always washing nudging etc nuggy..she was in love that poor bunny with nuggy the daft moggy. Bumble was her partner in crime and tabbby was her nemesis!!
woozle wasnt appreciated much by either tabby or bumble..he had sticky up ears whereas kibbles was a lop. taby was really too ill to notice oscar too much till a few months after wed had him and she was just aarghh run! bumble got on well with him and used to nap in his overnite cage during the day and hed nap near her..and she drank from hos water bowl as did tabby.

we reckon kittens are so attracted to bertie because hes so chilled and warm!! Bif was their fave hey thought she was mum or another cat..they want to play with her like they do each other..they think shes another cat.
but bifs gone downhill again and theyve started to really hound her again so ive set up a pen for her nertie to get her some peace and retrain the kitties that its bad to harrass her..water pistol is weaponof choice!
tonite they were sniffing and kissing her through the bars and she was very calm and excited..wanted to dash around too i htink butisnt up to it. first time in ages i havent had to shoo them away from her in the pen.
kathy i think youre right all the time shes ill theyll prey on her or shell find their games too boisterous.
