moving to europe

Hi guys, Me and my boyfriend are considering moving to europe (we're currently living in the UK). My major concern is that I have 2 cats and there is no way on earth I am being parted from them. Does anyone know about the regulations involved in moving your pets abroad, etc and what I would need to do? I understand theres some sort of pet travel scheme now where you can bypass quarantine??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have a friend moving from Netherlands to UK, she just needed to get her cats pet passports and make sure they were up to date on the shots they were required to have to enter the UK. Your vet should be able to fill you on the specific details.

From my understanding there would be NO quarantine from the U.K. to Europe .. as Europe is a mainland. I do know all shots must be current and I believe you have to get a pet passport ... however the pet passport could just be within Europe. I know we had to get pet passports to ship our cats back to the U.S. ... we had NO quarantine from the U.S. to Italy or back to U.S.

As mentioned above, your vet should have all the specifics
