Thought that I should introduce all the fuzzbutts to the community!
At the moment I'm living with my boyfriend, so I don't have my buddy Kenny with me. But yeah, I miss him big time.
Jack
Jack is my boyfriend's cat, he's had him since he was a kitten. He's about 10 now. He's been a house cat his whole life and he's really quite dopey. He's a British black and white shorthair. He's got a nice temperament, but he doesn't play much. Makes me laugh because he starts to dribble when you pet him!!
Kenny
I got Kenny as a rescue when his owners went to live in New Zealand. I've had him for about 8-9 years now. He's a lovely cat and he's incredibly intelligent. He was a house cat when we first got him, but I don't believe in keeping cats indoors when they're neutered and the area is safe.
Sadly, when I moved out of my dad's place (Sept last year) due to a family break down, I left in a hurry and I don't think it would have been fair to take him with me; I didn't know where I was going or if I'd have a roof over my head.
I know that he's being looked after well. I have people check up on him for me.
I don't know if anyone else's cats do this, but Kenny has always been a unique cat in my eyes, as opposed to bringing in birds or rats or mice, he always brought in frogs. He never really killed anything he brought in, but I tell you I used to get a fright when I'd hear screaming noises outside my bedroom door - only to open it and realise it was a frog! (I didn't know they screamed before that, I believed in the whole <<riddit riddit>> thing!)
Then just a little tribute to Hero and Jasper.
Hero was the family cat when I was a baby, I only remember him vaguely, but I remember loving him more than anything else.
Jasper was my cat as a child. My mother and I brought him with us when we moved back to Ireland. One of the neighbours however was quite nasty we found out and left poison in petfood down for the cat. When he started exhibiting symptoms it was right in the middle of calving season, all the vets in the vicinity were busy and by the time one of them could see us it was too late for him. I didn't stop crying for ages...I loved that cat so much.
Other than that incident he lived a long, happy life though, and I have a lot of memories, so thank you buddy.
