My kitties don't get along...
I'm not really sure what to do. When I got my second kitty, Ginger, I knew my other cat, Freya, wouldn't be pleased at first, but I never expect her to decidedly despise Ginger for good. I tried introducing them slowly, making sure Freya got all of her normal attention and treats. It may be because Ginger is so very passive and Freya is aggressive, but it is frustrating that Ginger will only be out in the living room with us if we actually carry her out here. Then she usually sits in her little spot inside an old TV stand we use as a side table. We put a little cushion in there and she seems content enough to lay there and watch the action... but I wish Freya would quit chasing her back to the bedrooms every time she tries to venture out.
I don't think that either one of them are unhappy. Freya usually has her run to the living room and Ginger is our snuggle kitten in the bedroom. I haven't detected any signs of stress or emotional trauma either. Should I just accept the fact that my two little girls will forever cat fight? Is there some magical way to get cats to get along better?
