near disaster

I almost lost my Peaches today, at least I think it was Peaches.

I was putting an airconditioner into the window and hadn't evicted all the kitties from the room and closed the door. I usually do but they were not pestering me at the time so I left them alone. I got the a/c unit frame in (leaving an opening where the unit goes) and suddenly a kitty jumps up into the opening. THANK GOD she did not lose her balance as she would have dropped about 15ft onto cement. I immediately grabbed at the kitty, it felt like Peaches, ( I never actually saw which one it was) and dumped her onto the floor. I was screaming at all of them to get out. Then I closed the door. Took me quite some time to recover from the incident.

When I do the other a/c units I'll make sure there are no kitties in the room. I'm saying prayers of Thanks tonight.

Awww that's terrible to hear, glad the kittie is just fine but still hoping she's totally fine.
