I don't know about Pixiebobs other than what I have read recently trying to research bobcat hybrids. This is my story. I do not have pics yet- but as soon as I do you guys will get them.
Okay-
I take in strays-fosters- no suprise there- I imagine most of you do.
The suprise came when a cat I picked up on The Buffalo River(I actually brought her back to the car in my canoe) gave birth several weeks later to kittens who appear to be 1/4 bobcat.RC(river cat)the mom, is a small calico.
It is rumored that there is in fact a half bobcat Tom in our area(I know people who have seen and even petted the alleged father who supposedly was birthed to a domestic mother and a bobcat father) and all of the kittens have the tufted bobcat ears. 2 of them need homes that are willing to have "special kitties". These ladies jump straight into the air and one, a gray, will be a very large cat. The other, a black, is a regular size kitty, but has the extra large, tufted ears making them look exotic. The grey has a normal tail length and the black has a tail that is about 4-5" long. They are very loving but more aggressive than a domestic cat. For instance- they are 9 weeks old and chased my
terrier mix- who normally chases animals smaller than he up trees- out of the house! The grey I call Graycie and she is relatively quiet- her meows don't come out quite right. The black one I call Screamer 'cause she is a talker! They appear to be brighter than your average house cat.
I am no breeder and want only that these kittens go to good, responsible homes that will love and spay these babies. They will be a handful. At 8 weeks one kitten stole a fresh killed Quail from a full-grown domestic cat and ATE IT ALL within 15 minutes! They tend to get very aggressive over food, despite that they have been reared indoors and the food bowl has never been empty. With the exception of their mom, the domestic cats don't want anything to do with them- they act like it is their smell. They have five toes on the front, four on the back. Is anybody interested in giving one of these
fur babies a home?
