Talking She had her babies!!!

Last night the stray female cat we took in had her litter, She had the first kitten at about 7:10pm last night(we just missed the birth), luckily we got to see the rest, the second baby came about an hour and a half later, then about 10min. after that came the third. After that we had to leave to take my 13yr old sister home and stay with her for the night. I'm going back over to my house in a little while to see how their doing and check if she had any more kittens during the night. When I left it looked like she may have still had 1 left to go. So far though we have:

Baby 1: gray with a little white, very chubby, can already tell it's going to be calm and a BIG eater!

Baby 2: Tiger stripped just like mommy and VERY active, a big climber!

Baby 3: Black(we think, wasn't fully dry when we left),fairly calm stuck right next to mommy

Is there a way to tell if they're males of females?
I'll try and post pics later today!!!:

I'd give them about a week and then sex them. The way you can tell is males' "holes" are a little less than a centimeter apart, whereas the females' are close together. I'm sure there is a website somewhere that would have a picture, but you could always just compare one kitten to another (odds are you didn't end up with 3 of the same sex, although it's possible ). Good luck with your new adorable additions!!

PS - Is Baby #2 an orange tabby? Odds are he is a male - orange tabby females are rare due to genetics.

No, the 2nd one is a grey and black stripped.
She also had a 4th one during the night. It's got a black head and feet and a grey body, will that eventually turn all black??? The daddy's all black.

Last of the pics.... Can anyone tell me if babies 3 and 4 will eventually turn completely black? Do all black kittens start out partially grey?

Oh, I've just fallen in love with baby #2... I'm quite partial to brown tabbies. And the mother is just gorgeous.

i don't think the cats change the colour of their fur i know their markings become more defind but as for changing from gry to black i am not sure u will jsut have to keep an eye on them. Seeing hte kitens makes me want to get another one but with wher ei am living i do not have the room and its not fair to the 2 i have. The mum looks almost identical to my Tigger.

I'm not sure...there are probably websites that could tell you the ideal weights for newborns.
