Swollen? Can you elaborate? Do you have a male or female? Neutered/spayed? If the cat pooping/peeing? Eating/drinking?

He is a male 16 years old.
he is eating and drinking and going toilet.
His bum just looks like a big lump not like normal.
He was spayed many years ago.

Bring him to a vet. At his age it could be anything.

I agree, something doesn't sound quite right. I'd be suspcious of suddenly seeing a bump there. I hope all is ok!

agreed with above... this kitty needs a vet visit. *nod nod* I hope it turns out to be something minor that will go away easily.

Me too.
It does not seem to be bothering him at all that is why I did not notice it before till I was sat at his bum level and he walked

Keep a close eye on him and his bathroom habits. To me the first thing I think of is a prolapsed rectum. The surgery here in the US would cost over $1000.00 and at 16 years old I don't know if you would want to risk surgery, which leaves only one very unpleasant option. Check and see if he is constipated or has severe diarrhea. Either could cause pushing that could cause this and it is life threatening.

I have been watching him like a hawk.
He seems fine. I pressed all his tummy and he was not in pain.
Maybe something bit him there?
