toe nails - Paw Talk

I was clipping Trinity's toe nails the ones that arnt covered with soft paws and I cut one too short... she started to bleed what should I do?

You have cut through the quick with the sounds of it, just apply gentle pressure and it should stop of its own accord. Don't worry it can happen to anyone

The best thing is to apply pressure. You can also keep styptic powder (qwik stop) or around even better because its natural, cheaper and more readily available - cornstarch. It helps the blood clot at the wound opening.

Shes doing great. We went home (parents house), and the car was too hot (while we were waiting for the ferry), I think she forgot about her too short of nail. poor baby was miserable, she was panting which didnt know cats did and then she enjoyed me spraying her down with a water bottle, and sitting in front of the AC. Friday was just a rough day for my cat
