Worms
I noticed little white things around one of my cats bums and my dog Indy was feeling under the weather.
So, I wormed all my cats and both the dogs.
Indy is fine now and all the other cats and Myfanwy is fine.
But today I saw about 5 of these white worms around my cats bum again and she has been sick.
It says to repeat the treatment for the cats after 14 days.
Shall I wait that long or do it again now?
I dont want the other animals to catch them again especially Indy.

What kind of medicine did you give the animals for the worms? It is recommended that you use the meds twice to get rid of the hatching tapeworms that were in egg form at the time of the first deworming. I have never had luck with anything I could buy in a store. I get a brand called Droncit that is determined by weight for a dosage. You get it from your vets office. Where you are having such a problem with them I would bring your kitty to the vet and have them do a check-up and a stool sample to see what exactly kind of worm she may have. If she comes back with something, it is usually advisable to deworm all pets to be safe. Good luck!

I had a cat that the over the counter meds didn't seem to work, but taking her to the vet to get dewormed worked...I hope the problems gets fixed and no more of your babies get them...good luck and I hope they all feel better soon

I would definitely take the kitty to the vet and get her checked out. Apparently the stuff isn't working and she may need something else.

It was like a yellow paste and the dogs had tablets.
Will re-do her with the tablets asn it says on them and if they do not clear up after that then a vets visit is in order.
They say that you will see the dead worms coming out so thats maybe what they were

There is typical wormer, which you give to kittens and puppies usually, and then there is tapeworm meds, which come in pills. You get about three per bottle, and the bottle is around $15-20. You need to make sure its for tapeworms - not hookworms or roundworms.
My cat has tapeworms pretty often (we had a big flea problem at our old house, and it took him a long time to get rid of them and now he's pretty susceptible), and the pills are the only thing that works. The paste is worthless for them.

when we first brought home our kitten she got sick and brought up worms so we brought her to be dewormed we didn't even try the over the counter meds. That seemed to work for us, and it cost us 80 bux to get her dewormed and her first set of shots so it wasn't too bad
