Thank you Eli. They are my babies. Wish me luck at the horse show this weekend! I am taking both of the horses pictured above.

Definitely Gypsy Vanners ( partial to the piebald ones) and Freisians...they just have that romantic look. My favorite colors for other horses are strawberry roan, buckskin, and palamino. Around here most people have paints, quarter horses, appaloosas, tennessee walkers and just old farm horses. Nothing exotic. Which is disappointing in a way. I knew a guy who was training a paso fino. He said his feet almost touched the ground when he rode it. Are they normally small horses?

Yes they are normally short horses. But im sure that must have been a young one...or a really tall person. But I tell you there is nothing like riding one....well im off to the show! See you all later!

Morgans and appendix quarter horses are my favourites, and I love the dark colours. A deep bay or a black is just gorgeous! My husband is so lucky. He used to do show jumping with horses. He does not now, as he is in the air force, but we intend to get horses once he is out and we have our own place. He is getting appendix quarters again and I am going to get a morgan, so we get the best of both worlds! He is planning on being a physician's assistant (almost a full doctor, but cannot do surgery), but wants to minour in equine studies.

A Morgan gelding for just about any kind of casual riding, or a Percheron mare just because they are so Darn sweet natured.

I have never owned a horse, but my 2 favourite breeds are Clydesdales or Shires...
