Horses in DisneyLand - Pictures

Wow! The horses in DisneyLand were quite the experience this year. You always see them as huge horses that are so calm, just pulling people around and such. But, I got to see a different, exciting side of them! And I got to learn a little about them too. I'm just nosey like that because I like horses so much. I got right in there and asked questions. I got to see them when they were changing out the horses, twice. Each time, they seemed to be having a bit of problems with one of them. I've never seen them changed out before. One of the horses was not calm, but almost spunky, not something you want in a crowd of people. I was amazed. But, I learned that one of these horses was no more than 3 year old, just learning. And, wasn't being very well behaved that day. But, me, I loved it. I couldn't imagine trying to handle such a big horse in training and had to admire those girls for doing such a good job with such crowds around! Here are some pictures! Enjoy.

In these pictures, the horses were doing pretty well, it was after she got them past the little cart that they pull, when the horse realized that he or she was going home for the day, that is when he decided to "not listen" so well. And it was "then" that all of the people decided to get in her way. That poor lady really had her hands full and she did an awesome job!

Aww, they're beautiful

My Aunt bought my little cousin a retired Disney pony. He's the white short one on the Disney vacation commercial. I have yet to see him but my cousin rides him around everywhere! I think his name is Bill? Something along those lines.

wow those are beautiful pics! horses always take my breath away, so majestic. i remember as a kid being there once, and the horses were so elaborately dressed, and they listen so well, it's amazing how much these horses do in crowds of people, and it always amazes me how well they do in those crowds of people
