I checked the site and it says the drawing is on hold......hmmmmm.....

When I was a teen, one of my friends entered a contest for a beautiful Appaloosa filly. You had to write an essay on horse care and also send in pics of where you'd keep the horse. Then when the top essay writers were selected, people actually came out to your area to check your facilities to make sure it was ok for the horse. I sure hope they do the same with this contest!

Capn, I'll bring my horses over so you can babysit sometime. I have 4 so you'll have to make extra room in the kitchen and bathroom! Make sure you put your cat food in a locked cabinet because my one mare likes to steal cat food whenever possible! Just fill the bathtub for a water trough, no problem.

No laughing....but when I was about 6 I DID bring my pony in the house....mom was only slightly amused. She wasn't very happy with me though when I brought my calf in the house...luckily he was standing on the lineolium (sp?) when he decided it was time for a potty break.

Scarlette that is too funny! I can't imagine leading a horse or a cow anywhere.
