Weird question about feeding wild birds...well really about Lard :p

Hey!

So I'm working on my undergrad research project - it's about wild birds. I'm going to be testing how food quality effects vigilance behavior.

My recipe for 'high' quality food calls for a mixture of seeds, peanut butter, and lard.

I have to make a budget where I list everything I need and where I can get it, as well as how much, and the cost.

Where the heck do I buy lard, and how much is it? Lol if anyone can help me out that would be awesome! I'm pretty clueless here.

You can buy lard anywhere! The supermarket, WalMart any store where they sell foodstuff.
Just ask at the supermarket.
Heres one brand..

Its very cheap! (Its also called Manteca if you go to a store that sells lotz of mexican items.)

Crittercall is on a distinguished road
Hint: It's usually on a bottom shelf so that it's hard to find!!

Thanks! Looks like I'll have to go on a lard hunt next time I go to the food store!
