Yellow-bellied Marmot

Marmota flaviventris

Description A heavy-bodied marmot. Yellowish brown, with yellowish belly. Feet buff to light brown. Whitish spots between eyes. Buff or yellowish patches below ear to shoulders. Tail bushy. L 18 1/2–28" (470–700 mm); T 5 1/8–8 5/8" (130–220 mm); HF 3–3 1/8" (76–80 mm); Wt 5–10 lb (2.2–4.5 kg).

We had one of these guys at the center last year. They have a screech that could peel paint lol. Not a very friendly guy.
