PetMed Express - No longer a PT affiliate - Please read!

We have discontinued our relationship with PetMed Express as an affiliate due to some disturbing news.

"PetMed Express's own consulting veterinarians are prescribing medications without having examined the animal. This isn't the first time PetMed Express has been cited for this. They are known for using 'alternative' prescriptions - i.e., if the 'regular' vet refuses to sign the faxed prescription, they have vets on staff who will happily - and illegally - do so. There is also some question as to the quality of the medications used. They've been charged with selling drugs not approved by the Food and Drug Administration. There also is some concern among a few vets that PetMed Express is taking vets' signatures from previous prescriptions that have been faxed in and copying them onto prescriptions that the Vets have not signed. "

I have a pet store by me that sells frontline for the same price. Besides if I need medication I can just call the vet and I can just pick up a prescription. They don't do that office visit crap. I don't think I would want medication without my animals seeing the vet first anyway.

In cases like this I consider us lucky. Being married to the military has the benefit of the military vet clinic. I get all my stuff like heartworm prevent and frontline from them for cheap.
