read up on how to introduce them, it takes a long time and you need 2 cages for it to work.

Its not as simple as getting two new ones and adding them especially with males as males are territorial and can and will fight to the death. Its hard to introduce a new degu(s) to two existing degus and you will need a spare cage and a lot of time and patience to try and make it work. It needs careful thinking about as its a lot harder then introducing degu to degu. Look up introductions before making any decisions

takes a lot of time and work but well worth it and very rewarding in the end.
i was trying to introduce 7 feamles, each of them were going in with a sibling apart from Frack, the group never took to her so she has a cage all to herself and my male bobo, she is due next month and planning on keeping 2 of her girls for company...

When i had my three males i thought it would be a great idea to get two new baby degus to go with them. However when i got Derek and Rodney the other boys did not like them at all. I had to get two cages and despite all my best efforts whenever they were together they fought continually. I finally managed to get Bert and Derek together after both their brothers died, and they were both lonely. I would not advise getting anymore degus, i had mine in two seperate cages for at least a year and a half, both sets of degus were continually aggrevated in each others presence. I suspect that this contributed to the death of my degu Gizmo, who was constantly on edge. Sorry to be so pessimistic but it is really hard work to get two groups of males together, if they are not from the same litter, as they are so territorial, and when they fight it can get very nasty and expensive with vet bills.
