Bad Luck

will this bad luck ever end ... last night when my friend came by he had a degu for me ...but in the process of bringing it in the house he drops the cage ... bye bye degu into the night ... I cant believe my luck left a food bowl and a bed out for it hoping it would find it but no luck yet
