Degu only one pup?

Okay, so my female degu She Ra was pregnant for the longest time. The beginning of the week I could tell she was getting ready to go into labor, one morning, I found a pup dead on the cage. Since then, shes been slimmer, more active and friendly and overall happier. Is it common for them to have only one pup or should I wait to handle her?

IMO you should take her to the vet and have and have her x-rayed just to be on the safe side

Just 1 pup, yes, that would be very weird indeed. I agree, she should get xrays to make sure whether or not there are other pups in her still. Please let us know what happens!

That's what I figured. How much do x-rays go for?

Im not sure, I would take a guess at $30-$60, depending on where you go

Depends on the vet. X-rays are usually one of the cheapest diagnostic tools available.
