Degus and water question

I have two baby degus that I got a week ago. One of them seems to drink a lot more water than the other. Is there cause for concern? They are together and eat the same food. I am giving them Mazuri chinchilla food with a small amount of hamster gerbil mix in it. I do not give them anything sweet as I have read that this is bad for them. I have given them a sunflower seed or a wheat chex for treats so far.

I have the same with my degus the female drinks more than the male does,

I feed my degus Mazuri chin pellets mixed half and half with guinea pig food.
I did not know they could eat hamser food. I will have to do some research on feeding them hamster food, thanks for the idea. LOL

Well I hadn't planned on giving them hamster food either but that is what I ended up with instead of Guinea Pig food, so I thought I might as well use some of it until I can get the right kind. I give them a little of the pellets and chunky stuff out of it. They seem to go for it right away when I put it in so that probably means it is not good for them Both of mine are females as well. I have had them for almost a week and I thought with one drinking so much water I probably had better get the tank cleaned and was expecting a mess under the chips but there was none. It was dry. That really surprised me. No smell either.

Boy, that's the truth! After I got their wheel they seem to run on it all the time. Even at night and I thought they were day time animals. Of course they are young and probably never get tired. If they are not running on the wheel they are chasing each other
