I saw this post on the Facebook group "Degu Worshipping Society" and thought I would pass it along if someone near Surrey was looking for a degu pair.

Chins & Degus Needing Homes

The conditions they came from are horrid and did make me sad reading about it but I'm glad someone is trying to find the survivors a forever loving home.

It is an awful case i know a few people who took some of the degus in and the conditions they were in and were kept in and were horrific

The lady whose link you posted is a member of my degu forum and has done a fantastic job with the guys she took in and they look like different degus now

I would like to add if you aren't living in the Surrey area of the UK that Sarah normally can make arrangements to get the animal(s) upto you so she is worth talking to even if you live 100 miles away

How many are there and where abouts? I'm not sure i can take any more, but i live on the Hants/Surrey border and may be able to see if any friends want any!

I sure hope they will all get wonderful forever homes.

I am so glad there are so many GOOD people out there, willing to rescue precious little souls from such bad situations!

I wish I lived close and could help too.

Its truly awful, i cried when i saw my friends photos as she went with another friend to take some of the lady who kept them. The cages were hamster cages and piled high with degus, the lady said it had got out of hand

The main thing is for the majority there is a happy ending
