Hi,
I applied to this site because there was alot of helpful info about degus which can't be found around my place. Thanks to everyone who asked and answered new baby questions. I got my degus about 5 weeks ago, thought they were both boys, until 3 weeks ago. So I was reading in a degu book that they usually have 4-6 babies. I prepared for 6 but expected 4. 4 days ago at 5 AM Mama had NINE, yes NINEbabies, they are all about same size and all are doing fine. See photos if you like.

Wow. Nine! The most I had that were born was eight. Only one less, but still. xD
I know it's also possible for them to have eleven! I've only read that it could happen, but then I someone I met had a girl who was pregnant when they got her, and a few weeks after, out popped eleven! xD

Well, congrats on the new additions! Will you keep them all? Only keep the same gender? Adopt most out? Aren't they adorable? Baby degus are so sweet.
Can't wait to see pictures. ^-^ xDD

Aww wow, nine babies. I accidentally got two different gendered Degus as well, and we can't wait to see the first litter, but we might have to give one up. -_-
Anyway, please post pictures! We can't wait to see them!
