Halo is a mommy!

We just separated her from the male yesterday, and she had the babies today! I woke up and checked the cage, and there she was, nursing her new babies! We aren't sure exactly how much babies she had but we think it was about five, from what we can see. We can't keep all of the babies, but once they're ready to leave their mom, I'm going to choose my favorite one to keep.
I tried taking pictures, but the glass of the aquarium just gives off a horrible glare, and the lighting is pretty bad too. In three weeks, when I can finally handle them, I'll take tons of pictures and post them here.

One of them likes to wander around the cage aimlessly, exploring, and sniff around, until his mom grabs him by the tail and drags him back in. Hehe.

They're six days old now and their fur has gotten a lot more like degu fur. I already held them on day two because I couldn't resist, and the mother didn't care at all! It's sooo cute seeing them run around the cage! I can't wait till I get them in a big wire cage and I get to see them trying out the ramps.
Anyway, here're the latest pics. I took them today.
