Happy Degu Family Update (pics)
It's been a little over 2 months since Squirt and Nibbles had their first litter. They had 5 cute little babies: 3 girls and 2 boys. Unfortunately, I had to give up 2 of the little girls. Of course I cried my eyes out for 2 days after, and beforehand I typed out all of the info I knew about Degus and how to take care of them just to make sure they were taken care of properly. The degu parents are great and I hear that the little girls are doing well also, so that's a plus  After lots of begging of course, I managed to convince my husband to let me keep 3 of the babies so now we have 2 boys with Nibbles and a girl with Squirt. We named our little girl Fudge and we named the little boys Nippers, who bites like his daddy, and Ninja, who climbs and jumps around like a little monkey! Here are some updated pics of the degu family
The first pic is of all of the baby degus right before we separated boys from girls at about 1 month old. They were all drinking because they spilled their water the night before while I was sleeping and went all night without it! Poor little babies.
The second pic is of the parents at about the same time.
The last pic is of Squirt and her 3 girls eating just before we had to give 2 away. The girls were 6 or 7 weeks old.

These pics are after we separated the baby boys from the girls and put them with their dad, Nibbles.
The first pic is of Nippers and Ninja sunbathing in the morning. Every morning when the sun starts to shine on that little spot the pile up there until it's gone, it's so cute
The second pic is of the 2 boys when they realised I was taking pics of them sunbathing 
The last pic is of Nibbles and his sons posing for a family photo

These pics were taken after we had to give away the 2 girls and Squirt and Fudge were the only girls left. Fudge was about 2 months old in her pic.
The first pic is of what happens when you put your hand in the boys' cage
The second pic is of Squirt finally getting some free time to lounge on the couch after 2 months of babies buggin' her
And last but DEFINATELY not least, Fudge's first pic Sorry I couldn't get a better pic she's a little camera shy  Or she just wanted her bum on the internet!
Well thats the update of the Happy Degu Family! I'll post a better pic of Fudge when I can get one! And I'll be sure to update soon.

Jenn ~ I'll try to get pics of their cage soon, but right now we're waiting for the babies to get a little bigger because they can still escape from their big cage. So their cage is empty until they can go back in it without escaping! Once they get a little bigger and they're back in their big cage I'll post some pics
