Unhappy Help, degu's tail is bleeding

Hi,

can anyone give me any advice about my Degus. I hav 3 Degus. One of them has little fur on the end of her tail and the other 2 Degus keep trying to chew on the end and have managed to make it bleed. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop them trying to nibble on her tail. Please help, i am desperate. :-(

Also they seem to be fighting a lot today and trying to hump each other even though they are female. Is this normal behaviour? because these are my first Degus so i am not really sure.

How large is their cage and what toys do they have? How often are they let out? How old are they?

I'll definitely need more info to help.

They are only young Degus. I have had them for 1 month and a half. There cage is huge with four levels, it is a cage suitable for chinchilla. They have tunnels and various other wooden toys to chew on. One of them comes out regularly, but the other two are still timid, and i have only recently been able to get them to come to my hand and occasionally come up my arm, but the minute i move they panic and run straight back in the cage.
