1. Talk to them, they get to know your voice. Put your hand into the cage and let them come up to you and sniff it... it takes time. When they come up to you, stroke their heads or backs. Eventually you will be able to scoop them up and cuddle them! Don't pick them up round their middles.
2. Depends on the Degu. It's not good to give them too many snacks... they get fat and diabetic. Try little bits of veg, whole hazelnuts (only once a month, very fatty/proteiny), crushed peas, uncooked spaghetti, carrots? You can get suitable snacks from pet shops.
3. One thing would be to put another wheel in. What setup did they have before you got them? I just leave my boys to it : P hehe
4. It takes time to build up trust. If they keep running away from you, then probably not yet, though try to scoop them up and try. One thing I did was to give them their dust bath, then pick them up out of it.
5.
Degus need to have a controlled diet. If they eat all their food then you shouldn't give them more that day, but always make sure they have a constant supply of fresh Timothy hay. They can eat as much of that as they like! Make sure to keep an eye on them at feeding times, and that one Degu does not hog all the food. I give my 2 Degus 2 bowls of food, one bowl per goo. Even if they don't use the same bowl every time, it means that at least there is enough for both.
And no problems

Good luck! :3
