What is a degu?

Never really heard of them

I don't have any myself but I am fascinated with them! They're closely related to chinchillas, I think they look like a rat/chinchilla. VERY cute! Search around for some pics on here, I know we have some degu owners around!

I don't have a good pic of the ones I used to own, but I *might* have one........maybe. To me, they look like a cross between a squirrel/chinchilla. I'll try to look for a pic of mine.

Degus are very cute and are very easy to get along with.I have several but haven't gotten any recent pics of them.
They make different sounds which I think is very cute.Mine are all very friendly and love to climb out onto my hand.

Although degu are related to chinchillas to me they look nothing like them. They are way smaller and do not have the soft, dense fur. To me they look just like a large gerbil

But are much much more vocal.
