My two boys have been in a 10 gallon aquarium with a small cage topper since I got them this summer. The first thing I did when I got them was open up the ramp to the bottom so that they could run around down there. For some reason, the previous owners had it blocked off.
Big Pete was so overgroomed by Little Pete that he had practically bald patches all over his back. As they grew in he'd end up with black patches. The poor guy looked very silly.
They finally have a bigger cage now. It only has one level, but it's quite roomy. Their new cage is 36 x 14 inches and is 14 inches high. My boys spent the first week running about wildly and doing a great deal of yelling at eachother. THey've finally re established dominance and are quite happily cohabiting again!
Little Pete seems to finally be happy now. Big Pete's hair is finally growing in
Hurray for more space!
Of course, now my living room looks like a
pet store LOL The girls cage is 24 x 14 inches and is 3 feet high!
My
swivel sweeper is my best friend!
