our Degu is having seizures

we have 2 degus, both female, Turbo and Boost. Boost is cool, she will come up to our hands and is always curious and in a good mood.

Turbo is our concern, she has never liked coming up to our hands, and also lately she has been "freaking out". She will run around in circles for a few seconds, then she has seizures for a few seconds. Turbo is the one who is always drinking water, and we think she is diabetic.
It is really freaking us out, when she does it. It has happened about 6 times in the last week. (that we have seen anyway) What should we do to help her?

thanks

I think you should get Turbo to a vet because it could be a number of things.

I agree.

Turbo needs to be taken to a vet ASAP.

It could be a number of things as Sasami also said.

I have a friend whose chinchilla also has seizures. It could be some neurological damage, could be other things. We really don't know.

When it comes to out pets, we will pay anything to make them better.. I had a sick degu last year, she cost me nearly £500 in vets bills, and she died after having an op to see what was wrong with her..

i agree vet bills are BAD but we need the vet more than they need us at the end of the day. and thats why we pay it, if our animals need to see the vet then money should NEVER come into it, or really we should not have the animals.
