possible pregnacy

hello everyone
firstly id like to apologise for not logging on for ages sorry

as some of you may know i started out with two male degus mario and sonic i very much fell in love and just had to get them some more brothers so shortly after conker and rincey arrived yay

i started to notice rincey had been getting a little big lately and i am slightly concerned that he could be a she and pregnant since this possible revalation iv noticed rince getting bigger and rince and mario have been build a nest esp today it is a proper round nest shape in their sleeping area normally its just casual looking but it is very very nest like today

i have a new cage arriving tomoz as i intend to leave rince and her babies if any in the cage they have now and move mario conker and sonic into the new cage asap after birth i will keep the cages next to each other as i dont want rince to pine for her mate but i dont want her to get pregnant again esp so soon after her giving birth as i dont think that is fair to her at all and i have read can be very dangerous this is not something i would ever do to my angels

i really would like some advice about my plan as i always thought we had males we still might but i would rather be on the safe side and be prepared i have research as much as i could as soon as i noticed if anything is not right please let me know and any other info would be great

as for the babies i have read not to handle them in the first 2 weeks for development issues so i will resist and i intend to separate them at 5 to 6 weeks old depending on their attitude to leaving the nest i intend to keep rince and daughters in one cage and in the boys cage i will add the baby boys is this ok

is it ok to keep the cages next to each other as i dont want the males to get too excited by the females but i also dont want rince and mario to pine for each other

Well, if prego goo is the case, you sound well prepared Yes, immediately after birth, or during birth, put the males in another cage. You shouldn't move the female because it's dangerous to handle prego goos. They get VERY pregnant and even just handling could cause a miscarry. Yes you can keep their cages right beside each other, I think. I don't believe the males will feel competitive with the girl right beside. But I'm not 100% on that.

It sounds like you have everything planned. I wouldn't keep the cages near one another as giving birth will bring her into season and it could cause the males to fight. Plus she will have enough on with the babies in any case to miss the others Keep us all posted on what happens
