Rest In Peace Dennis

Dennis Wale died Thursday 3rd July aged 10, a year and a half after his sister Donna. They were both lovely members of the family with whom myself and my brother literally grew up with from ages 8 and 6. For dennis it was a 3 day struggle in the end after several weeks of irregular fits, but finally he was able to pass in the company of his family with lots of love to go with him as he returned to his sister and now lies next to her.

I am writing this for my brother to whom Dennis belonged, for i am sure he can take comfort in the knowledge of the love we all share for our small friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. What good Degu parents you are, 10 years is a wonderfully long life - though in all honesty, however long they live is never long enough.

that is such a lovely gesture our little friends are big parts of our families and our loss of them is never easy hopefully the knowledge that they are at peace and no longer hurting and the fact that they had the best possible lives with us will aid the hurt and loss we feel inside rip all our beautiful angelsthat we have loved and lost

Thankyou everyone for your responses, it really is difficult to lose a loved one but i now find myself greeting all three my lost ones every time i come home, say goodnight everytime i go to bed, and tell them i love them when i leave the house, and im sure they hear it, i keep feeling their prescence everynow and then , and i hear dennis squeak from where his cage was when im alone in the house, and i talk to them then too. they are always with me even now.

Oh no, I am so sorry! I was really hoping Dennis would manage to fight this.
You're right about that our lost ones are always here with us. I am still heartbroken over the loss of my Skippy but I know that he's always here with me. I'm sure you feel the same about Dennis and Donna.
I would just say to try to remember the good times you and your pets had, and cry when you want to. It's good and healthy for us to grieve.
