Should I show cause for concern?

My degu started building nest several days ago she is prego and now it seems that she looks smaller but no babies!I mean don't get me wrong she still looks prego just smaller or shifted more towards rear. They messed up the nest yesterday so I figured I would go ahead and clean good because it might be my last chance. But still nothing!!!

I'd wait a while longer if the weight has shifted more towards the rear it could mean she's nearing the time to give birth. Is she ok in herself? Eating, drinking etc....? It will happen when she's ready so don't give up hope yet

Yes I am not giving up hope I saw the little boogers very active in mommies belly this morn and i had a restless noght so i feel it is close also She has the whole aquarium bottom as her nest I put the nest box up top for my other girl and of course Zoey is there so I will keep a close eye that she doesnt have babies up there. And she is eating and drinking quite well. Thanks and i will keep posted

Degus almost always have their babies in the morning and will usually let out happy squeaks to tell the world I know the wait is hard, but well worth it

I am so ready but i guess she is not went to check this morning and still preggers. I will see them when i see them I guess

Good luck. I wish I had degu babies right now, but I must wait until the boys I get are old enough to breed. :3 I want to breed to improve health and temperment. Plus one of the boys I'm getting is gray in color. I hope to pass this down onto their young.
