update on Helpppppp porrley degu!

well we visited the vet this morning which was interesting as she didnt look sick at all the way she was wriggling and escaping. anyway she def had respiratory infection so the vet gave her an antibiotic injection and i have drops to give her for the next 5 days. when we got home i thought she was about to die so i simply put her in with her sister and left them too it on the hot water bottle. but when i got home from work.................. shes quite bright (not herself still), eating and drinking and has had a tiny run in the wheel. so im more positive than this morning. so fingers crossed everyone for the next few days.

I'm glad you were able to get into the vet, and get her started on antibiotics. I've spent the last 3 or 4 months fighting an URI in my little girl too, but she has finally recovered.

Degus are really tough little creatures, so I really think you'll have a good outcome. I hope she takes her antibiotic like a good girl, and that it helps her feel better!

Be sure to keep us posted!!
