Wood for Nest Boxes - Paw Talk

What kinds of wood are safe to use to build nest boxes? Would simple press board work?

Most commecial nest boxes that you can buy are made out of ply wood (which i suspect is the same as press board) which isn't all that good if they chew it up as it splinters and releases a lot of dust. I would personally use kiln dried pine for any houses etc... As its safe to use and if they chew on it you haven't got to worry about it
