??? About Weaning (Runt)

From everything I have read on the net and the books I have bought says baby hammies should wean at 21 days... Is this true? My first litter will be 3 weeks old (21 days) tomorrow... They are almost the size of their mom already. They are soooo cute... It is going to be hard to let these little guys go to their new homes.

Thanks Runt, I will get the new cage ready in a few minutes, I have a 20 gallon aquarium with a divider in the middle, so I am going to put males on one side females on the other. I would keep them all if I could. LOL

You are welcome Sassy. That is good splitting them.Another thing sometimes my males are to small to really tell so when I sex them if I am not sure I will make sure to put the one in question in the male tank and check it every day.A female can become pregnant as young as 4 weeks.
