Hamsters are very territorial. It takes steps, and time, to let hamsters see, and get used to eachother. It doesn't matter if there babies, or even if they were in the cage together in the store, hamsters are hamsters.
Cage to Cage
First get some wire mesh/ protection inbetween a cage. Make sure this protection is hard to chew, but is non-toxic and okay for the hamsters. Make sure they cannot get to eachother's sides. The protection should let them smell eachother, but not bite or hurt the other hamster. Squeaking is fine, so dont get worried. They are only trying to establish who is who.
Smell
Hamsters rely on smell. So if you let each hamster switch cages, they can put there scent on the other hamsters stuff, for them to get used too. Then put them in correct cage again, and they'll get used to the smell.
Seeing eachother/interacting
The final step. This should be in a good time, not all in one day, or 2. 1 or 2 weeks worth of time should get you to this step.
But eachother together, watch them closely. See what they do. Chasing and squeaking is nothing. When blood is drawn or biting is occuring, imeedialty seperate them.
*tip*
If blood is drawn or biting has occured, try this method again in 2 weeks. Sometimes hamsters never live together. Some just can't stand eachother. Never put syrains together, either.
If ones a female and ones a male, I wouldn't put them together, without supervision. You don't want babies, or improper breeding, and fighting mostly occurs with a male and a female.
Note
Syrains aren't supposed to be together. They don't need company like dwarfs do. Syrains are less social then dwarfs, and are perfectly fine alone. Do not ever put syrains together, even when trying this method. It could lead to death. If your trying to mate syrains, don't, we have experts for that.
