Cage for Gerbil

Hey! Um, I have this cage I got off of Ebay and it's medium sized I think. By lxwxh it's 16inx16inx14x, so it's better than the cage I have for my gerbil, which is smaller. The tray with which it comes with is 4.5 inches deep, and I was wondering if this could be a good cage? Also the cage's manufacturer is Marchioro.

Tanks are better to use for gerbils because they like to burrow, but it will probably be fine.

I don't recommend anything but aquariums for gerbils, but they won't be any less happy in something like that. If the cage has a wire or mesh bottom, they won't be very comfortable though.
