Dwarf Hamster info on Orphaned pups

Thru my breeding program on Dwarf Hamsters I have had a very good success rate on putting babies who for some reason or other have lost their mom.
I have had a couple moms escape and left their babies as well as one momma dying with a litter of 2.
The first thing is always wash hands thoroughly before trying this.
I check for other mothers with a litter about the same age. When I find one I take the orphaned litter and the male of the serogate litter and rub babies and him together.I then take some of the bedding in the tank in which I will be placing the orphans and rub them all in it.I gently place the babies and bedding in with the serogate mom and have had a very good success rate.I gave had one mom raise 9 babies 5 were hers and 4 were orphans.
